Splash-in lunch at Krøderen

Unn and LN-AEG at the dock of Villa Fridheim, one of the country's largest timber building, a museum of Norwegian folk tales, and one of my favorite splash-in destinations only 30 minutes from Oslo. We enjoyed lunch and the beautiful scenery, contemplating on academic life.

Quiet today, big crowd expected Sunday

Line and LN-AEG ready for departure after lunch at Villa Fridheim. It was my third visit on floats, and I finally docked at the appropriate place.

First time I used a farmers dock at the other side of the island. The second time I beached and trespassed again. This time I finally made it right. The dock is not ideal for seaplanes due to a few misplaces poles, but we managed.

Lunch at the museum in this beautiful timber building is always special. We were the only costumers today, but Sunday princess Märthas is reading fairy tales and a big crowd is expected.

End of sea season

Kari, my successor as head of New Media Network, after Friday lunch at Villa Fridheim by Krøderen, before returning to Kilen. I flew my 20th hour on floats this season, and do now have about 40 in total - all in LN-UXC. If the weather does not get exceptional well in the weeks to come, this might be the end of my season at sea for this year.

Fairytale on floats

Tore and LN-UXC by Villa Fridheim, one of Norway's largest and most special timber buildings, located at the end of the Krøderfjord. Inside the villa there are a number of beautiful fairytale tableaux and decorations. The distinctive architectural style makes it look like a fairytale castle.

Unfortunately we docked at the wrong side of Bjørøya. Next time we will use the Villa's dock on the eastern side of the island. After Sour Cream Porridge (rømmegrøt) for lunch, we returned to Kilen.
